To join that reign before I'd know

Quickly now, soul, make a wish

Two columns emerging from the deep

And age-old letters scream: beware in deed!

In terror of the Old Ones underneath

Waiting to rise no place to flee

Another scoundrel’s a feast for the crows

Justice is done again after all

But death changes views up here, don't you know?

I'm dangling here now so peacefully

with ravens for friends to pick my teeth

The maggots are whispering into my ear

Never in life I felt so relieved...

I shot to kill, cut to thrill...for the real thing!

...and when they took me I got a short drop with a sudden stop

Justice is done again after all

Looking for monsters? Isn't it so?

I'm none of you, clearly as light

Empty-eyed looker-ons, zombified

So self righteous and dignified

I'm more alive dead than you are in life

Who said dead men tell no tales? 

8 out of 9 lives I have lost

8 of 9 chances I let them pass

8 0f 9 bridges burned after crossed

One single try left now

My only and my last  

Once I began pure innocent and fresh

I was unspoiled I got robbed and slashed

On second try fought to stay on the path

Lost my directions and gave in to my wrath

One of those lives

I’ve got to make it flawless yet

My good intentions all went bad

One of those lives

It’s everything I have left

Eight gone wasted - one’s perfect

One of those lives

I know I need to overcome or

The gambling’s over my chance’ s (forever) gone

For a third time I gathered all my strength

Walking on quiet but fear ate me at length

Fourth time I rose blazing righteousness

Wielding my sword I fell in with the rest

Five felt so good now reborn in hate

Dealing out pain my regrets far too late

One 6 of 3 saw me close to hell's gate

I got what I earned crawling like a slave

I rose again I was calm, I was brave

Took no.7 I learned and forgave

Slain like a sheep I propelled towards 8

Fought without rage and I got wise with old age

This is the end of my path, a couple of steps I have left

To reach that last hilltop ahead, my journey will come to an end

Promising anything

Up on the peak now I stand, all outstretched arms, I will wait

Towards the skies I turn my face and catching the first drops of rain

Deep down the lights go out
I hear no screams no shouts
No beating hearts…
Silver spheres are rising up
They shine upon the black
We fall like struck-dead gods
No chance of turning back
On our descent towards the sand all of us

Holds its breath in flawless wonder-

Here arrives the silver line

Wake me from my solemn slumber

Wash away the dread of night

Cut this ties that pulled me under

Make me see that silver line

Long I’ve waited for this sight

Forever wished for this delight

To see the lighthouse re-ignite

And Demons, Monsters, all alike

Fade away into the bright

That all the lost, the wayward, blind

The lonely cast-outs of my kind

Are stars upon the silver line

I think I saw a woman walk down to the graveyard in the cold

With nothing but a white gown on bare feet on freshly fallen snow

I followed her down to the flats strewn with old and crumbling stones

In puzzlement I found her gone and in the spot where last she rose

Her tracks had stopped too, just like that

As fleeting smoke...dissolved she had

I know I saw a woman walk down to the graveyard in the cold
